Downtown Parking.

Parking Garages.

If parking garages are more your style, downtown Hamilton has two primary options: The George McDulin Memorial Parking Garage and the Government Services Center Garage. The McDulin Garage, located on Market Street between N. 2nd and N. 3rd Streets, offers free parking for the first two hours and has its entrance at the corner of Market and N. 3rd Streets. The Government Services Center Garage has its entrance located in the 300 block of Court Street.

Monthly Parking.

For those who work downtown or visit Hamilton regularly, the City of Hamilton offers convenient monthly parking options. With plenty of spaces available, securing a spot can make your trips downtown even easier. If you're interested in renting a space, please contact Sue Paul at sue.paul@hamilton-oh.gov for more information.

On-Street.

Almost all of Hamilton’s urban core area includes on-street parking. These spaces are either individually metered, station metered, free timed parking, or unmetered free parking. Current parking rates start at just $0.50 per hour. You can pay most meters with coins, a credit card, or with the Passport Parking app listed directly on the meter. With a variety of options, you’re sure to find a spot that fits your needs.

Alternate Options.

The easiest way to park is to not drive at all. Walk, bike, or skip from your neighborhood! You can schedule a ride with BCRTA’s BGo and get dropped off in one of our Curbside Hamilton spots. Our urban core features over a dozen brightly marked green Curbside Hamilton spaces, perfect for quick stops of up to 10 minutes. These convenient spaces are on most blocks and are easily identifiable by their solid green color and signage.

Planning to pedal in? Enjoy the convenience and charm of our City of Sculpture bike racks that are scattered around town. With over a dozen unique designs, including a paper plane, owl, guitar, painter's palette, and more, you'll find a spot that’s as fun as it is functional.

We assure you, there are ample parking options available. Check out this map highlighting both surface and garage parking in Hamilton. Let's work together to optimize our current parking spaces, allowing Hamilton to continue adding amenities that give you a reason to want to park!

Free Lots.

In addition to our free public parking lots, a few businesses and buildings have partnered with the city to offer free public parking after 5 pm on their lots. The Miami School lot in the 200 block of Main Street, and Telhio Credit Union at the corner of Park & Main Street, become free public parking after normal business hours.

Did you know that there are thousands of additional parking spaces owned by private businesses? These are usually accessible via the alleys running behind them. Just be sure to check in advance if your intended destination has a private parking lot.

Parking Ticket.

Parking tickets can now conveniently be paid online through a QR code or directly on the City's website eliminating the need to drop off or pay in person. A QR code will now be included on each parking ticket. By scanning the code using a smartphone, users are directed to the City's website for quick and easy payment. Residents and visitors can also pay their parking tickets directly on the City of Hamilton's Parking Ticket webpage. The introduction of online payment options will save time, offer flexibility, and help avoid late fees.

Current parking rates are $0.50 per hour, and a parking ticket is $10 if paid within 48 hours. You can pay the meter with coins, a credit card, or with the Passport Parking app listed directly on the meter.
