Charter Review Commission.

The Charter Review Commission is established by The Charter of the City of Hamilton, Ohio under Section 18.11. The purpose of the Commission is to evaluate the entirety of the City’s Charter and make recommendations to City Council regarding any potential amendments.

City Administration may bring items forth for the Commission to review and decide if these recommendations should be submitted to City Council. Once submitted to City Council, Council will either amend the proposals further or vote on them as presented.

Any proposed amendments passed by City Council will be submitted to the voters at an upcoming General Election for consideration. The only qualification to serve on this Commission is that the applicant must be a resident of the City of Hamilton.

The Charter Review Commission is currently not is session. The next Charter Review Commission will begin session in 2025.
